There are many types of microwaves; the microwave hood combination is one of them. The microwave hood combinations free up counter space while also providing ventilation for electric and gas ranges and built-in cook tops. These microwave hood combinations combine a microwave oven with a ventilation hood. They can be installed as either vented or non-vented. Vented hoods dispel to the outside or the vented hood installations exhaust to the outside. The non-vented installations again circulate the fettered air back into the kitchen. This re-circulation of open air back into the kitchen is not done by the vented hoods and hence, this system is preferred by many.
If the hood vents back into the kitchen, the air passes through a charcoal filter. While most hoods are quite easy to install, a non-vented, or re-circulating hood does not require an exhaust, so installation is even simpler. Due to this fact the non-vented hoods or the re-circulating hoods are easier to install.
